Our learning spaces

Microscopy Lab

Learn a range of biomedical science classes in our Microscopy Lab. Discover where Science and Technology collide with integrated digital microscopy teaching tools.

Mega Science Lab

This is where you’ll undertake your foundational units, like chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology. Conduct experiments, use equipment and learn with your classmates and expert teachers.

Environmental Lab

Here’s where our state-of-the-art tools and technologies used in environmental science call home. You’ll get to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as you explore eDNA, water science, conservation ecology and genomics.

Practical experience

Put theory into practice while you study in all of our science degrees. Internships, field work and practical projects are core to our science curriculum. Connect with science industry partners and gain industry experience that will give you a career advantage when it’s time to graduate. 

Research and industry projects

Work with our world-class research centres on a range of research projects, or address real-world problems with industry projects. Investigate how drugs are used to treat disease, deep-dive into disease mechanisms or explore the diagnostic tools behind a breakthrough.

Contemporary Science Curriculums

We’ve refreshed our Science courses, so you can benefit from a curriculum designed to meet new and emerging industry trends. Developed in close consultation with industry, you’ll get to use the latest lab equipment in our modern learning spaces, and benefit from hands-on experience with inbuilt professional practice units. Whether your passions lie in medical science, biomedical science or environmental science, we’ll make sure you graduate work-ready, world-ready and future ready.

  • Centre for Conservation Ecology and Genomics – this centre is committed to protecting our environment to ensure it remains diverse, healthy and productive for future generations.
  • Centre for Applied Water Science – aspires to be a national and international leader in applying the best science to achieving solutions to water management challenges.
