New applications

* You are considered a 'volunteer' for the purpose of this Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)/NDIS registration, therefore there is no cost to students.

The Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 requires some students undertaking a placement in the ACT to obtain WWVP registration.

If you require WWVP registration, you should have evidence of your registration with you when attending placement in the ACT. If you are unable to present evidence of your registration, you may be asked to leave the placement.

Application instructions

Renewals

If you need to renew your WWVP during your studies, it is very important to apply and complete any required steps before the expiry date of your registration. When you renew before expiry, your WWVP registration continues until a decision is made on your renewal application and this will enable you to continue your placement.

If you do not renew before the expiry date, you cannot continue your placement as it is an offence to do so.

NSW Working with Children Check

If you are required to apply for a NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC), please visit  for instructions and the online application form.

Note for all students

You MUST notify the Placement Team if your WWVP or WWCC status changes during the course of your study. You will need to provide a new WWVP/WWCC. If you are concerned this may impact on your placement, you are encouraged to seek guidance from either Inclusionº¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ or your course/unit convener.
