An enabling course for mature age students
If you’re interested in applying for a º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ undergraduate degree, but don’t currently meet the entry requirements, our º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep program can help develop your skills and qualify you for admission.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep is a pathways program for those who finished school a while ago, haven’t studied for some time or are looking to upskill, retrain or move into the para-professional world.
How does º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep work?
The º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep bridging course program has been developed by the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ together with º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ College. When you’ve successfully completed the program, you can apply for admission to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep will prepare you for admission to a º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ degree by improving your skills in:
- research
- report and essay writing
- numeracy
- oral presentations
- time management
- online learning.
Online Delivery Mode:
- A 14-week program
- Online study via º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµLearn that includes pre-recorded lectures and associated activities
- Flexible and self-paced learning
- Meet with the Program Coordinator and teacher as required
Face to Face Delivery Mode:
- º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep is a 14-week course and offered three times a year
- There are two classes each week (four hours per week) held at the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµâ€™s Bruce campus.

º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep eligibility
To be eligible for a place in the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep program, you’ll need to:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold an Australian permanent residency visa
- Aged over 19 years and completed secondary/senior secondary school over two years ago
- have been out of education for more than two years.
If you don't meet these conditions, but can prove you’re likely to succeed in the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep program, you can ask to attend an interview where you can present your case to our admissions panel.
º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep program fees
Australian and New Zealand citizens or Australian Permanent Residents are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Enabling place for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Connect. It’s considered an enabling course and the Australian Government will cover your entire program fee.
All students need to pay a Student Services and Amenities Fee.
Application and intake dates
The program runs multiple times throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to enrol and complete it ready for the start of the next University teaching period.

How to apply to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep
To apply for º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep you’ll need to:
- visit  and complete the online application form
- upload all relevant certified documentation as requested on the form, such as your academic transcripts and birth certificate or Australian passport.
If your first language isn’t English or you’ve been in Australia for under two years, you may need to attend an interview.
Offers for entry to º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ degrees after you’ve successfully completed the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep program will depend on your º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep results. You may also need to meet a series of inherent requirements to successfully graduate from your º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep bridging course.
It’s worth noting that not all º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ courses are available to study through the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓÆµ Prep program, as some degrees require a higher entry score than can be achieved via a Pathways program.
