Bill Shelley
Bill graduated from Industrial Design at Uni of Canberra in 1994, and designed and built one of the world’s first carbon fibre recumbent trikes as a major project.
From 1995 until 2005, he operated a Composites design and manufacturing business, and worked on a wide variety of composite material based projects. Projects include a power pole lifting device, lightweight stiffening panels, automotive and rally car components, and carbon fibre racing wheelchair push-rims.
Since 2007, he has been the Technical Services Coordinator at the º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ, where he lectures to students of design on the benefits and possibilities of Composite materials. Bill is also heavily involved in the Uni’s research activities as part of the team that designed and produced components for the Australian Winter Olympics Skeleton team, and Snowboard binding project.
Sam Shellard
Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Industrial Design and a Diploma of Design in 2018. His passion for making and fabrication has led him to develop a wide range of hands-on skills.
Since graduating Sam has worked as an industrial designer in a range of industries from furniture design to fabrication and manufacturing. Through these roles he gained extensive experience in rapid prototyping, design iteration, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacture.
